In 1964, this college was founded in memory of His Holiness Baselios Geevarghese II Catholicos in the premise of the M.D.Seminary,Kottayam. The motto of the college is to learn, toil and love. 95 teaching and 60 administrative staff is serving in the college. The college offers Post Graduate Courses in English, Economics, Political Science, Malayalam, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Commerce.
