  • This is an area whic gets affected by the smallest showers of rain
  • The area where excess water used to flow is all consumed by the set of new buildings that have come up. Till early 80s the water logging used to happen only when it was true for other key areas of Mumbai too with heavy rains clubbed with rising tides. This was the first place where when we moved in early 80s I first saw someone ask the shopkeeper "half bread" (mind you those days only full bread was available & not too many choices) and the shopkeeper [(Late) Lallu synonymous with "Pink Corner" - the landmark] promptly broke it into two halves and placed a piece of newspaper, wrapped it and handed it over to the customer. I was totally amused with the level of personal customer service.
