The Mobile Amtrak Station was a stop for the Sunset Limited passenger train.
Service was suspended on August 28, 2005, due to Hurricane Katrina.
Although plans have been put forth for a resumption of passenger train service between
New Orleans and Florida, it does not seem likely to happen in the near future.
