Lake Lemon is a 1,650 acre man-made lake. Construction of the lake began in 1953 and was completed in 1956. Management of the lake is currently under the auspices of the Lake Lemon Conservancy District.

The lake frequently attracts visitors traveling from as far as Kentucky and northern Indiana.
