Built in 1959, this is the second oldest hotel in Kuala Lumpur after Federal Hotel (built in 1957 located at Jalan Bukit Bintang). Previously known as Merlin Hotel, it was bought by a millionaire Syed Yusof in 1990 and has undergone some RM100 million in renovations over the years. The hotel is operated by Concorde Hotels & Resorts (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. It has 488 guestrooms that are furnished with an array of modern amenities.
