building, brickworks, place with historical importance
This 11 story building was constructed in 1914 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing member of the Minneapolis Warehouse Historic District. The building is best known as the site of Ford's first automobile factory in the Twin Cites. Auto production ceased in the 1920s when Ford built a new plant in the Highland Park section of St. Paul.
The building was purchased by the Pohlad family (owners of the Minnesota Twins baseball team) soon after they signed a deal to construct a new Twins Stadium across the street.
