Głogów smelter
KGHM Polska Miedz S.A. Głogów smelter is comprised of two parts: Głogów I, which uses a shaft furnace, and Głogów II, in which copper is smelted using modern flash furnace technology - the first such installation in the world. The final product of this manufacturing process is refined electrolytic copper in the form of cathodes. The Głogów smelter also includes within its structure a modern Precious Metais Plant.
