Little island in Finnish Gulf. In June 1940, after the Winter War, an artillery squadron of the Soviet Baltic Fleet was built here. Battery № 364 included three 203 mm guns and Battery № 274 included four 45 mm guns. The batteries were part of OAD ("Otdelny Artillerijsky Divizion", Separate Artillery Division) № 22.
It was a small part of the "Vyborgsky Ukreplenny Sektor" (Viborg Fortified Sector).
