This entire area belongs the celebrated erstwhile Nair Household, the Great Kalathil Parambil House, from where celebrated ministers and nobles, often decorate the Royal Court of Cochin Maharajas. Currently, three houses exists within Kalathil Parambil House. The Vadakke Bungalow and See India house on North, Kalathil Parambil Main House on south and Nidhi-Madhavam along with Guest house on East.
