The Groeve 't Rooth limestone quarry is jointly owned by Ankerpoort and the environmental protection society Het Limburgs Landschap (Limburgish Landscape). Exploitation is in the hands of Ankerpoort NV. The site is a protected natural reserve.

The quarry can be visited on Saturdays, from Easter to October from 9:00 till 15:30. From November to easter 9:00 to 12:00.
