Originally constructed in 1948 as the Veterans Memorial Building. The building was extensively renovated for the UAW-Ford National Programs Center in 1995. The 141,000 sq ft office facility that includes 86 offices and 81 work stations. Eight training rooms seats 25 to 30 people each. Of the 13 conference rooms. In addition, there are two lobbies, a fitness center, and cafeteria for staff and trainees.
The facade of the building contains the sculpture "Victory Eagle" by local artist Marshall Fredricks. To the west of the building are six pylons with carvings by Fredricks depicting scenes from Detroit's history.
