SR 9B is a planned and currently under construction divided four-lane freeway. The project is divided into three phases: Phase I is the segment between I-295 and US-1, and is currently completed and open to the public; Phase II is between US-1 and I-95, and is currently under construction; Phase III is between I-95 and County Road 2209 (St. John's Parkway), with construction planned to start late 2015.
