A former golf and tennis country club (Broken Woods Country Club) at 9001 West Sample Road, which opened in 1965 (or 1968). It was closed down in June 2003, but the buildings were destroyed by arson in 2007. In 2015, development began for a new subdivision called Broken Woods, named after the defunct golf course.
