This is the former country house of the Marques de Presa and was constructed in pure rococo style in the mid-eighteenth century. It was suppose to have been designed by Viceroy Amat y Juniet (Viceroy of Peru 1761 -76)for his Mistress, the actress Micaela Villegas, known to history as "La Perricholi". It now houses the Viceregal Museum (Museo del Virreinato) which exhibits furniture, painting and other works of the eighteenth century.
