Jean-Pierre Pellegrin's Domaine Grand'Cour winery in the quaint Peissy village produces highly distinguished wines in very limited
quantity. Many varietals, red and white, are grown on the 37-acre vineyard. The Pellegrin family has grown vines on this estate for
10 generations. Depending on the varietal, wines are elaborated in new French oak casks, thick iron vats or egg-shaped silt vats, a
process which keeps an exceptional mineral character to chardonnay and viognier. Reds include wine from the "gamaret" varietal, a
new obtention with exceptional organoleptic character which lends itself well to organic growing thanks to its natural resistance to
cryptogamic deseases. Unfortunately most of the production is sold before the wine is bottled, but reservations are possible.
