Originally named Iowa Circle, was later re-named for Civil War General John Logan of Illinois. His statue is at the center . . . dedicated by President McKinley. The Logan Circle Civic Association is the immediate neighborhood. General Logan was a member of the House of Representatives before the Civil War and a Senator afterward. He lived for a few months in #4 Iowa Circle - the original name.
