This is circa 1960 Soviet Nuclear Missile Base for the R-5M (SS-3 Shyster) Nuclear Missile. The R-5M is a direct descendant of the German V2 Rocket, a LOX and Ethanol fuelled missile with a range of approximately 900 kilometer. A mounted R-5 (not “M” Model) can be seen at the The Sergiy Korolyov Astronautics Museum in Zhytomyr. There is a second base 4,8 km to the North. Pix to come at:
