hiking, waterfall, limestone quarry, interesting place

The walk to Rainbow Falls is beautiful and can be started from the lighthouse as noted below, or from Bimbi Park (they let us park the car and you can hop on the trail from there). There is a chance of seeing kangaroos on the way (we did). Bring a lunch and enjoy the rock formations on the beach, but beware the tide - it can get rough!

From www.greatoceanwalk.com.au:
The track to the falls begins at Cape Otway Lighthouse. Rainbow Falls flow from a spring in the dune limestone, forming a limestone deposit as it flows over the rocks. In afternoon light, water flowing over the escarpment forms a beautiful rainbow. Allow four hours for the moderate 10km return walk. Caution: The track continues on past Rainbow Falls to Aire River so ensure you retrace your steps to return to Cape Otway Lighthouse.
