Reserve estimate: Yolla field contains reserves of 324 petajoules of sales gas, 0.8 million barrels of oil, 14 million barrels of condensate, and 972 thousand tonnes of LPG.

Yolla A, an unmanned offshore platform (Lat 39.51S, Long 145.66E) which sit in 85m of water, transfers gas and liquids 147 km to an onshore facility at Lang Lang, Gippsland, Victoria where it is processed, separating LPG and condensates. The natural gas is piped to the Victorian Principal Gas Transmission Pipeline and sold throughout south east Australia. The condensate and LPG are transported by road, most of which is sold to Shell refinery in Geelong for retail distribution.
The BassGas Project was established in 2001 to develop and commercialize the gas. Construction took 5 years at the cost of $750M, and started producing in June 2006.
