Narayanpur dam is the second major dam under Upper Krishna Project in Bijapur district in Karnataka. This dam is over 10 kilometers long and 29 meters high, with a total storage capacity of 38 TMC. This is an irrigation dam.
Reservoir is called as Basava Sagar.

  • its a desire to visit it once and no doubt it a very unique dam which i think all should visit with proper permission from the authority.anyone who wants to visit it must do a detailed survey about it first.
  • Hi I am from Narayanpur... this s vary awsome place in karnataka..
  • Plesae raise the dam height from current 29 mts to 40 mts,, so that there wll be no water shoratage for crops for 2nd harvesting
