Fort Dickerson Park located at 3000 Fort Dickerson Road just off of Chapman Highway in South Knoxville. This beautiful 85-acre park has some unique activities that are educational and physical. When you pull into the first parking area there is a short hike to a breathtaking overlook off an old rock quarry with water as blue as the sky.

From the first parking area you venture on down towards two reserveable picnic shelters and two scenic overlooks. There is also an unpaved trail systems that stretches throughout the 85 acre park. The most unique stop at Fort Dickerson is the civil war fort named earthen fort that was occupied by the federal army. There are three replica cannons located in the fort and tons of historical information about this famous fort. Fort Dickerson is a truly unique stop and is in close proximity to all Knoxville residence.*
