  Spring Rock Park, in Western Springs, is the location that gave the village its name. Originally the location of a natural spring, the railroad was brought through on the idea of starting a bottling plant in the area. However, the railroad's track debris were accidentally dumped in the spring, burying it. The baseball outfields, to this day, are still soggy from the spring's attempts to break the surface.
