Ramblersville is a sub-neighborhood of Howard Beach in the New York City borough of Queens. Like Hamilton Beach, it predates the name (and development) "Howard Beach" by several years. The area saw it's first inhabitants when the opening of LIRR tracks across Jamaica Bay made it a prime fishing destination in the late 19th century. Though most homes are now primarily year round residences, it's fishing village heritage is still reflected in the many cottages, dirt roads, homes on stilts and ubiquitous watercraft that make Ramblersville one of New York City's most unique neighborhoods.
