  Poothrikka is a smalll village in Ernakulam district. It is almost 30 kms from Kochi. Even though it was a remote village, Poothrikka had great political leaders and they brought Pacnhayat and every facility to this tiny village. Today it enjoys all facilities. The G H S S produced wonderful sons like Mr. V P Joys I A S. There are many people come from other parts of Kerala to settle in this serence struggle village.
