  • The name of this place is wrong. It is not the sim sim mosque. It is the Sandakan District Mosque. However because its location is at Sim sim, and it is the only mosque around this area, this name is acceptable because it does not cause any confusion. There is a small mosque down the hill, but technically it is just a surau, so we may call it surau sim sim.
