An island belonging to Anguilla. A flat-topped rock, one mile long and rising 40 feet above sea level. Site of phosphate mines from about 1860-1890. Home to Sombrero lighthouse (original built in 1868; replaced after hurricane damage 1960-62, and a new fibreglass tower was built in 2001.
