THE DESERTPLANTS SUCH AS PANAI(PALMS), CASHEWS AND THORNY PLANTS CALLED "KARUVELAM" AND HENCE KARUVELANGADU; and the deity is the KARUKKAVEL AYYANAAR. Any one having more knowledge about the real history of this area namely TERI and about the society, culture of the people who lived here and migrated from here or asertain from the oldest people of this area may add to this comment so that the future generation may not forget their place of origin as the JEWS DONT FORGET ISRAEL.   • I got a history from my grandfather that long year back our ancestors are 7 Persons has shifted from Teri of Tuticorin and migrated to some other area. Out of 7 Persons only one person Mr.Papanasa Nadar who is the Grandpa of our Grandpa has migrated in Tirunelveli Dist, Veikalipatty Village We also keep on making the search about our orgin of our ancestors. Up to our Grandpa used to come to this Temple and after that our fathers are not doing the same. But we are the children’s are very much interested to find our ancestors and relations.
