mine, production
A mill, mine and camp were associated with the Quartette mine. The Searchlight Mining District was founded July 20, 1898. The Quartette Mining Company, formed in 1900, became the mainstay of the Searchlight District, producing almost half of the area's total output. In May, 1902, a 16-mile narrow-gauge railroad was built down the hill to the company's mill on the Colorado River. The camp appears to be associated with the mill, not the mine and it had a post office from Sept. 15, 1900, to Sept. 15, 1902. The mill site is now under Lake Mohave.
