Cutty Sark (London)

United Kingdom / England / Westham / London
 museum ship, tourist attraction

Class of ship called a Tea Clipper, now preserved in dry dock as a tourist attraction.

Launched in 1869, the three masted ship has been in her current location since 1954 and open to visitors since 1957.

The ship was badly damaged by fire in 2007, during a restoration project. Much of the masts, rigging and ancilliary fittings had been removed, but there was major damage to the decks and hull. The vessel is now undergoing an even more ambitious restoration to repair the fire damage.
