This is a hill destination just above the parking lot at Horse Shoe Lake. This provides the best scenic view of Chico and the Sacramento Valley facing South. Short quarter mile climb but steep terrain....kids love it, but be careful!

  • A short but taxing climb, offering a great view of the entire city and beyond. A popular romance spot among youths. Hardcore runners train by running this hill three or four times a day. Reportedly, one man once rode a unicycle down the trail from Monkey Face.
