WPTV is the NBC-affiliated television station for the Gold and Treasure Coasts of Florida. Licensed to West Palm Beach, the station broadcasts an analog signal on VHF channel 5 and a digital signal on UHF channel 55. WPTV's transmitter is located southeast of Wellington along US 441 and SR 7. Owned by The E.W. Scripps Company, the station has studios that are located on South Australian Avenue (eventhough the street address is Banyan Boulevard) in Downtown West Palm Beach. WPTV is known on-air as "NewsChannel 5 HD".
