Kippure (Irish: Cipiúr) is a 757 metre mountain on the border between the counties of Dublin and Wicklow. There is a 106.7 metre (350 foot) transmitter mast at the summit which broadcasts national radio and television signals, and some local radio station signals.

    This was the site of the first TV transmissions in the Republic of Ireland. The site was manned daily up until the early 1980s. On a clear day its possible to see Wales from the summit of Kippure. You'll have to walk to the top though - RTE have a private road for the last mile and they leave the gates locked.
