Mountain range in central Ireland. Counties Laois and Offaly border runs along the highest ridge of the mountains. The highest peak is Arderin at 526m. A legend says that an Irish giant, Fionn McCumhail after his father death moved here. Two women were supposed to teach him to fight defense and hunting. After he moved here he started learning and prepared ro join the Fianna Irish army, He raised up to be the leader of the Fianna. This legend is 2000 years old! Fionn really existed but he wasn't 3 meters high! he was about 1 metre 70 centimetres.
