    This village is the place where my forefather's lived and grown from there. My father's elder brother named Late Sri Ponnaluri Sri rama rao was associated with village politics and served the Village panchayat. My father's another elder brother Late sri ponnaluri surya prakasa rao who was also a senior scintist and principal entomologist at C.R.R.I cuttack contributed to the village by initiating various programs under the ministry of agriculture at central govt and brought up agriculture in drought situations. Very good place.

    I grew up with good memories. it used to have sufficient water supply until 1980 and now all the irrigation canals dry throughout the year except for a week. Over the last 40 years, there has been significant changes to the geography of the village. Nearly doubled it size over the 40 years along north west, north, north east and east. Within my limited personal funds, I am beginning to support village development programmes over the next couple of years.
