  • The owner of Canada's Four Corners challenges the Canadian tenet that George Stanley designed the Canadian Flag. He claims that the store used the 11-point maple leaf design since September 1963, over a year before the final flag was approved. The real designer was supposedly Jacques Saint-Cyr who drew the 13-point design in 1961 and later changed it to 11 points.
