  • This entire neighborhood was formally a naval training center (NPS, RTC, et. al.). It was closed in 1999, and after a legal battle was sold to a developer who demolished the historic buildings. These buildings included the original nuclear training school buildings. There was also a 9-hole golf course on the base and numerous salvageable structures.
  • Using the google tool I have dropped myself into the lay of the land and vaguely remember marching the lanes and, the sun shadows and angles. I remember a water tower too.
