"During World War II, Jenner Bombing Target was used as a dive-bombing practice target for military pilots flying out of Naval Auxiliary Air Station Santa Rosa and possibly Hamilton Army Airfield. The site is currently in use by the State of California as a State Park as part of the Sonoma Coast State Beaches, Russian River/Mendocino District. It is used extensively by the public for sight seeing, fishing, camping, and hiking."
