Just think, in six more years this cabin will be 200 years old! That is older than West Virginia (20 June 1863) also Wetzel County (10 Jan 1846). This area was Tyler County, Virginia then Wetzel formed from Tyler in 1846 and was known as Wetzel County, Virginia for 17 years until The Civil War. Some folks were born in Tyler Co., Va. and died in Wetzel Co., WVA and never moved from their farms. This cabin needs restored. So some group who likes history should check into it before 2014. 1814-2014.

People must listen to me, ( about half anyway ), cause 2nd and 3rd week of Apr. 2008, guys started fixing roof on cabin. I also said the 1814 cabin should be moved to Lewis Wetzel Park in NMV but that'll never happen. Oh well, as long as someone restores it like I told them to.
