Owned by Indiana-Michigan Power Company, This coal-fired 2600mw power plant looks like a nuclear power plant from the outside but the coalyard behind it tells another story. Both of the plants two units has their own cooling towers and the steam from them can be seen from as far away as Evansville's West Side, some 45 miles away. Its 1,038 ft tall central smokestack is the 22nd tallest smokestack in the world as of 2007.

  • It really does look like a Nuclear Power Plant. Most coal plant don't have cooling towers. They are more commonly found in Nuclear plants.
