"The Air Force acquired the 0.23-acre site from the Forest Service in 1958. They constructed and operated the unmanned radar gap filler until 1963, when the property was conveyed back to the Forest Service. Construction included the L-shaped concrete building, steel radar tower, woven wire fence, and gravel access road. The radar tower and communications equipment have been removed, with the three concrete tower supports and access road still remaining. Most of the DOD-installed fencing has been removed or torn down."

This site used an AN/FPS-18 radar:

"This medium-range search radar was designed and built by Bendix as a SAGE system gap-filler to provide low-altitude coverage. The radar operated in the S-band at a frequency between 2700 and 2900 MHz. The system deployed in the late 1950s and 1960s."
