The Centre for Life brings science alive in a fun and funky environment.
Complicated science theory is made accessible and exciting at Life through a range of engagement techniques.
The Science Centre helps to explain complicated issues about the science that affects us through a permanent and evolving exhibition, live shows and demonstrations, an interactive dome theatre and hands-on interactives. A major temporary exhibition is the Centre’s blockbuster attraction throughout summer months.
In Lifelab, the Centre’s teaching laboratories, 40 different curriculum-linked workshops are offered to schools and educational groups. Life also visits schools in an annual outreach programme helping to engage pupils through science road shows and demonstrations.
Life’s annual lecture series aimed at adults helps to explore an area of life science with interesting speakers from diverse backgrounds.
Life’s team of science explainers are not only the face of Life but they’re at the forefront of current science research and are passionate about helping others to understand the importance of science.
Science explainers are on hand to explain science through exhibitions, events, labs, live shows demonstrations that capture attention and help to promote learning.
The Centre for Life is at the heart of a world class science village where ground breaking research is being developed.
