Ochre Point - (SE corner of Narragansett Avenue and Ochre Point Avenue), was built in 1882-1884 for New York real estate developer and financier Robert Goelet III (1841-1899) and his wife, Harriet Louise (nee Warren) (1854-1912). The large summer cottage located on the Cliff Walk overlooking the Atlantic Ocean was designed by the architectural firm McKim, Mead & White. Unlike most of the Newport mansions, ownership of 'Ochre Point' has remained (as of 2012) in the Goelet family.

Often confused and mislabeled as being named Southside (See: Yarnall collection). Southside was the Gammel estate directly north (demolished) across Narragansett Ave.
