NAVAL NUCLEAR POWER TRAINING COMMAND

NNPTC's mission is to train officer and enlisted students in science and engineering fundamental to the design, operation, and maintenance of naval nuclear propulsion plants. On June 1, 2000 Naval Nuclear Power Training Command was recognized with the Meritorious Unit Commendation for extraordinary achievement during the period April 1998 through May 2000. Following graduation from Nuclear Power School, officer and enlisted personnel are assigned to one of the program's prototype propulsion plants in New York or South Carolina for 24 weeks of additional classroom and hands-on training.

  • The "X" shaped buildings are barracks and the building on the far right is the school. The other two large buildings in between are the administration building (top) and the galley (cafeteria, bottom).
  • I'd say this place was fun...but I'd be lying...
  • my son-in-law is on staff here.
  • The building in the bottom right is the Dentistry Office.
  • I will be attending NNPTC after graduation from basic in early September.
