Stephens City is an incorporated town in Frederick County, Virginia. The population was 1,146 at the 2000 census, and estimated to be 1,195 in 2003.

The town was founded and chartered by Lewis Stephens in September of 1758. Stephens City will celebrate it's 250th Anniversary in 2008.
