CrossRoad Church came into existence in 1953 as part of the movement of Conservative Baptist churches across the United States. Originally founded as Temple Baptist Church, the name of the Church was changed to CrossRoad Church in the Spring of 2000 as part of a challenge to the congregation to retool the vision and ministry of the Church as we entered the Twenty-first century.

CrossRoad Church maintains its affiliation with the Conservative Baptist Association of Churches (CBAmerica) as well as with the Conservative Baptist Association of Southern California (CBSC).
