Silver Skillet Restaurant

Since 1972, the Silver Skillet restaurant has been preparing home-style cooking for locals and travelers pulling off Interstate 80 in the 49'er Travel Plaza, a popular stop for truckers, farmers and local families.

With the proliferation of chain restaurants, which are often sterile, cold and impersonal, the Silver Skillet offers the customer a comfortable atmosphere and friendly service - like independent family restaurants used to be. With their recently re-modeled dining room, the Silver Skillet is now celebrating its Grand-Re-Opening. The restaurant's interior has an airy, open ambience that evokes memories of the 1950s with wood paneling, traditional booths, tables with the daily specials presented on stands, and an old-fashioned counter near the kitchen .
