Across Kadam River, a tributary of Godavary River
this project actual namme is kadam project. there was famous politician in thhis kadam mandal. his name is gaddam narayana reddy. his very popularly known as kadam narayana reddy. after his death, the project was renamed as "kadam narayana reddy project". this dam is on the river kadam. this river is tributary to famous godavary river. this project mainly supports for irrigation in the adilabad district for many mandal. there are two canals from this project. left and right canals. left canal serves for kondukur, kannapur, pedda bellal, chinna bellal, chityal, moriigudem, harizana wada, patha kondukur, uppari gudem, chinna camp,perka palli, and other villages in the kadem mandal. kondukur, bellals, chityal tanks has the facility to take water from both kadam dam and sadarmat water makes it ensure for water for agriculture. kadem and surrounding villages are nice place to see in the rainy season as those are with full crops.
regarding right canal of this dam, it serves many mandal, like, jannaram, dandepally, myadarpet, tallapallli, luxettipet...etc

The History Behind this kadam says that "I olden days the Maharushi named KANDAVA done a very great yagna Yogassss here in this place to get the pound here,, As dayss goes on this pond is renamed as "KADAM PROJECT".... The Govt of A.P Again renamed this Project As "Kadam Narayana Reddy Project(KNRP)". Based on a famous politician Narayanareddy. It Has two Canals i.e the first is locally called as 52 Channel & other called as "Pedda Kaluva"........ This is what according to my knowledge.
