The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operate and maintain the Locks and Dam #2 on the Monongahela River (a.k.a Braddock Dam). It is located approx. 10 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, PA. Recently refurbished and updated in 2003, it has two lock chambers. The large chamber measures 110' by 600', and the smaller 56' by 360'. The dam has several gates that control the river's flow.
