park, place with historical importance, interesting place

Oldway Mansion was built as a private residence for Isaac Merritt Singer (1811-1875).It was rebuilt by his third son Paris Singer in the style of the Palace of Versailles. Paris Singer (of Singer sewing machines) had an affair with the dancer Isadora Duncan. The building inside is well worth a look although the rock gardens have fallen mostly into a state of disrepair.
