  • First of all, this is NOT or was not a Pakistan army airfield but, as of now, like every prime piece of land, every lucrative business, every high-ranking civil job and every significant institution in Pakistan this place has also been successfully invaded and captured by the world’s best army. In good old days it used to be a civilian flying club know as Quetta Flying Club and the airport was called Ghurkha Airfield. The eminent Marker family of Quetta were the chief patrons of the club and if you were a student, you could have got your Glider Pilot Licence (GPL) absolutely free – all expenses borne by the club. What I can now suggest is that the person who tagged this place as Pakistan army airfield is a bloody idiot.

  • "invaded and captured by the world's best army" - when did the Australian Army set up at Quetta Airfield???

  • Quetta is not a Baluch area. Anyone and everyone who thinks that Quetta is of Balochs is a fool of the lowest kind. Quetta is and has always remained a Pashtun area. And will remain so.
  • Come to think of it, Quetta was a Pushtun speaking area, however on the Pakistan Map it has always been shown as Baluchistan
